As a port city, Liverpool has benefited from culinary influences from across the globe.

Most predominantly, the city is home to the oldest western Chinese community and today boasts a bustling China Town and fantastic array of Asian restaurants. The Mayflower, Mei Mei, Capitol Chinese Restaurant are firm favourites.

If it’s Japanese you are after try Etsu or Sapporo, or for Thai the beautiful Chaophraya restaurant or Chilli Banana on Lark Lane certainly won’t disappoint. If you really can’t make up your mind then Matou offers a Pan-Asian menu, not to mention outdoor dining with outstanding views across the Three Graces.

For lover of Italian cuisine, then it’s a hard choice to make! San Carlo, Piccolino, Il Forno and The Italian Club all offer great menus with equally good wine lists. However, when only a curry will do, Liverpool’s Spice Lounge and award winning Gulshan will definitely hit the spot.

If you are looking for something different why not go Brazilian? Bem Brasil offer a unique dining experience with finest steaks, fish and array of fresh salads.
