The Brewery Tap is within the facade of the Robert Cain Brewery on Stanhope Street. It was returned to its former Victorian glory in 1993 and was honoured with the English Heritage/CAMRA award for the best refurbished pub in the same year. The judges particularly praised the moulded red brick facade and its splendid engraved windows. They also praised the bar counter with its scrolled supports. Many of the features were rescued from a neighbouring pub prior to demolition.

The Brewery Tap serves the full range of Cain's traditional ales and has a wide choice of wholesome food on its menu. As one of Liverpool's landmarks the pub and the brewery are well worth a visit. Brewery tours are available.
