Chocolate Workshops

The Chocolate Cellar in Hanover Street is fast becoming recognised as the destination to develop your appreciation of all things chocolate. Bala, winner of Women in Business (NW) - Best Woman in Business 2009 is running workshops, the popular Chocolate Lovers Club as well as a Valentine's Day special event.

Workshops:

'Our passion for chocolate is totally infectious and all who have attended have come away inspired and enthralled by the art of chocolate making'.

• Children's Workshop £10 per head: An hour-long workshop for children aged 6-16. It begins with a short talk about how chocolate is made, after which everybody has a chance to make and decorate two lollipops to take home. While these are setting, there is a chocolate quiz to do, then we pack the lollies to take them home.
• Dabble Workshop £30 per head This two hour workshop begins with a talk about how chocolate makes it from the bean to the bar.
• Creative £50 per head The three hour workshop includes the history of chocolate, creating truffle fillings, dip your truffles in Belgian chocolate and design and decorate your toppings.
• Chocoholic Workshop £110 per head. At this full-day work shop everybody will have a chance to try these techniques for themselves, including tempering, piping, using moulds and making cigarillos.

Chocolate Lovers Club:

Members love the social, informal meetings on the last Thursday of every month at The Chocolate Cellar. Sample the latest chocolate inspirations, enjoy a drink and meet fellow chocolate lovers in a relaxing setting. There are informal talks from the chocolatiers and at the end of the evening, take away a selection of truffles to enjoy at home!
