Explore the Botanical world just two miles north of Southport, where you’ll find the historic village of Churchtown, home to the Botanic Gardens. Opened in the 19th century, these beautiful Victorian gardens are positively bursting with pretty arboretum, floral splendour and colourful displays, particularly beautiful in the summer months.
Within the gardens you’ll find plenty to see and do, with its stunning lake and winding pathways, fernery (with a unique collection of indoor ferns), aviary, café and play area.
The park is open seven days a week throughout the year. You can easily access the gardens by train from Liverpool City Centre to Southport.
