Liverpool John Lennon Airport is conveniently located within the Merseyside road network, is well signposted and lies close to the M57, M62 and M56 motorways.
From the North/North-East
M6 southbound to j.21A with M62. Note - motorists should ensure they come off at the slip road signposted Liverpool. Follow M62 west to j.6 onto the A5300 to the A561 and follow signs to the Airport, which is situated off Speke Hall Avenue.
From the South/East
M6 northbound to j.20 with M56. Follow M56 to j.12 onto A557/A562 dual carriageway via Runcorn Bridge to merge with A561. Follow signs to the Airport, situated off Speke Hall Avenue.
From the Wirral/North Wales
Passengers travelling from Wirral may find it more convenient to use the M53 and then the M56, as per travelling from the South/East, rather than the route through Liverpool via the Mersey Tunnels. Passengers travelling from North Wales should join the A55, connect with the M56 eastbound, and then follow directions as from the East.

There are numerous bus and coach services operating from Liverpool John Lennon Airport, including the 500 bus service from Liverpool city centre and the X2 coach service that runs between Liverpool and Manchester, stopping at Liverpool John Lennon Airport, Widnes, Warrington, Manchester Airport and Manchester.
Regular, inexpensive bus services operate between Liverpool John Lennon Airport and a number of local Railway Stations, including Liverpool South Parkway, Liverpool Lime Street and Liverpool Hunts Cross.
Liverpool South Parkway is the main train station which serves Liverpool John Lennon Airport and offers links to Liverpool City Centre, Warrington, Manchester, Birmingham and Wolverhampton on City Line trains and Bootle, Formby and Southport on Northern Line trains.
