Aintree by Public Transport

mersey travelThere is no easier way to get to Aintree than by public transport. Liverpool Lime Street is the nearest mainline station. It's a five minute walk to Liverpool Central Station where you can catch any train to Ormskirk on the Northern Line.

Aintree by Road

roadDriving from the South, leave the M6 at junction 21A and join the M62 westbound. Take junction 6 from the M62 and head for the M57 signposted towards Southport. The racecourse and parking arrangements will be clearly signposted from here. Travelling from the north, leave the M6 at junction 26 and join the M58, following signs to the racecourse and routes to the car parks will be signposted from there.

Aintree by Air

airportLiverpool John Lennon Airport and Manchester Airport are 30 and 45 minutes away respectively. For the well-heeled racegoer Aintree also has its very own helipad telephone Rotary Wing Support Services on 0161 799 6767.

Car Parking

A free Park and Ride scheme is operational for the John Smith's Grand National meeting from Brookfield School in Kirkby (signposted off J6, M57 motorway). A complimentary coach service will transfer racegoers to the racecourse and will return at the end of racing. This car park is hard standing and is suitable for wheelchair users. A free on-site coach park is only available to parties who have pre-booked Tattersalls or Steeplechase coach park labels. Should you have any specific parking requirements, it is advisable to discuss this with our sales advisors when making your booking.
