Bay Tree House can be found at No 1 Irving Street, Southport.
Irving Street is a small road just off the promenade and tucked along Leicester Street between the turnings for Knowsley Road and Avondale Road. Leicester Street links the promenade and Lord Street.
Guests not too familiar with Southport need to know that the promenade runs alongside the Marine Lake with a separate coast road running along the seafront.
From the South, via the M6 to exit 26; the M58 takes you to Ormskirk and then to Southport.
From the North, via the M6 to exit 31 and then travel through the centre of Preston and follow the A59 to Southport.
From the South take a mainline train to either Liverpool Lime Street or Wigan North Western.
From Liverpool you need to take an underground train to either Central Station or Moorfields Station where you can get a Northern Line train to Southport (every fifteen minutes most days, every thirty minutes on a Sunday).
If travelling through Wigan you walk across the road to Wigan Wallgate Station and take a local train to Southport. This service is not as frequent but approximately hourly.
From the North you can take the mainline train to Preston but then you need to take a bus or a coach the last 18 miles OR aim for Wigan (see above)
If you are coming by coach you will be brought straight to Lord Street Southport.
The railway station and the coach drop off point are each a fifteen minute walk from Bay Tree House but Southport is particularly well-serviced by taxis and either journey will cost around £2.50.
