The Mersey Partnership is part of the Natural Economy Northwest Network. Natural Economy Northwest is a partnership programme supporting those wishing to extend the enjoyment of the North West's natural resources to everyday consumers who potentially harbour an inclination to spend time in the region's wonderful countryside, or on some of Britain's most stunning, yet largely unexplored coastline.

Natural Economy Northwest supports both green and natural tourism, in many different ways. It helps publicise the availability of eco-friendly and natural tourism possibilities, to provide the Northwest's economy with a strong tourism offer, working in harmony with the environment in a sustainable and beneficial manner.
