About Merseywise

If you have any queries about tourism statistics, the common questions may give you the information you need.

How to Use this Site

Information in Merseywise is arranged by common areas of the curriculum. Initially you should choose from the various levels of education listed across the top of the site.

The GCSE and Advanced Level section is split into a number of areas that underpin the curriculum. For example, there is a section entitled 'Investigating Leisure and Tourism'.

The Higher Education section is split into sections based upon common course topics. It provides access to a wide range of resources from tourism statistics and strategies, to links to the organisations regenerating Merseyside and developing its tourism industry.

The Teachers section is designed to help those planning an educational visit or field trip to Merseyside. This section provides tips, suggested itineraries, and useful links.

The main topics are then displayed down the left of the screen, and clicking onto them reveals headings within those topics. Within the text are web-links to influential organisations on Merseyside, and important documents can be downloaded from the list on the right of each screen.

We wish you well in your studies or research and hope that you find Merseywise a valuable resource.
