You can get your hands on a wide range of Liverpool 08 souvenirs and gifts from the brand new 08 Place - your one-stop culture shop for a range of services for the local community and visitors to the city.

Embracing the latest technology, the high-impact multimedia centre, which opened in 2005, features interactive displays, internet access, a video wall, a ticketing and booking office.

It is also a cultural focal point for the community as it plays host to exhibitions and presentations.

Situated at the heart of the city on Whitechapel, the 08 Place is close to some of the major developments taking place in the build-up to European Capital of Culture 2008 including the Met Quarter Retail Development and the £900m Paradise Street shopping scheme.

It showcases and promotes the Capital of Culture experience and is the first port-of-call for people wanting to find out more about the city, keeping them up-to-date and engaging them with the celebrations.
