Whether you want a posh bed for the night, a country house hotel or a groovy themed room, Liverpool has it all. The City Region has an impressively broad range of accommodation, from award winning guest houses to upmarket boutique hotels, in varying locations from the city centre itself to the heart of the countryside.

The flagship is possibly the gorgeous Hope Street Hotel, the city’s first boutique hotel that opened five years ago near the Cathedrals and opposite the Philharmonic Hall. It’s located in the city’s perfectly preserved Georgian Quarter, home to more Georgian buildings than Bath, no less, and combines cool, crisp comfort with top-notch, super-friendly service.

Alternatively there is the fabulous four-star Hard Days Night Hotel, right by Mathew Street in the city centre. Inspired by the Beatles it is supremely tasteful, understated and luxurious, a perfect temple to the Fab Four, in fact, with a throbbing cocktail bar and great value restaurant attached.

There are numerous high-end chain hotels too such as a Malmaison and Crowne Plaza, down near The Pier Head, with great views across to the Wirral Peninsula, a Radisson Blu, just beside the West Tower, plus a new Novotel and Hilton in the heart of Liverpool ONE. You could also try Jurys Inn, literally on the doorstep of the Arena and Convention Centre Liverpool and Albert Dock.
