Home > Attractions > Croxteth Hall & Country Park
One of Liverpool’s finest heritage sites, a real piece of untouched countryside in the city. Acres of historic woodland and pasture surround the lawns and gardens of Croxteth Hall, the former home of the Earls of Sefton, now preserved as a classic Edwardian country house. The rooms, with character figures, smells and sounds, depict the lives of the Earl and Countess, their family and servants, bringing history to life. The Walled Garden is a classic vegetable, fruit and flower garden with unique features, also housing orchids and other spectacular plants from Liverpool’s 200 year old Botanical Collection. The Home Farm, set in traditional buildings, houses a fine collection of farm livestock, kept to show visitors farm animals of the present and past and for the conservation of these Rare Breeds. Other attractions include a model railway, adventure playground, mini-golf, Jungle Parc high rope adventure and a Riding Centre. Events throughout the year (Country Fair, Music, Theatre and Historic Re-enactments) add to your visit. Together with a café and gift shop, it’s a great value day out.
