BeethovenFest 08

Wirral Symphony Orchestra is organizing an interactive BeethovenFest 08 - a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to rehearse and perform all nine Beethoven symphonies across one weekend. Held at Weatherhead Media Arts College, the event starts on Friday 9th May at 7.30pm with the First Symphony, continues on Saturday morning and afternoon, and concludes on Sunday afternoon, 11th May with a performance of the Ninth, "Choral" Symphony.

Instrumentalists and singers from Wirral and elsewhere are invited to take part in the event - cost £3.00 per session or £10.00 for the whole weekend. Enquiries to Jo Clague - 0151 342 9641, jlclague@liv.ac.uk for an application.

Immediately out of Kingsway (Wallasey) Tunnel from Liverpool, take left lane uphill to roundabout, second exit (Wallasey) up Gorsey Lane. At the traffic lights, turn left onto Poulton Road and straight ahead at traffic lights onto Breck Road. The school is on the left after 300yards.
