Prescot town has a long and rich history. The name of the town is Anglo Saxon for 'Priest's Cottege' and during medieval times a thriving market grew up around the Parish Church. Prescot continued to prosper as a market town and in the 18th century the watch making industry developed.
Eccleston Street is the heart of the old town. A pedestrianised shopping street full of high street names and unique independent shops that are renowned for their warm and friendly service.
The Prescot Shopping Centre is home to a wide range of familiar shops from fashion to food and gifts galore! This bright and friendly centre is the place to shop and meet. Situated on Eccleston Street, it has its own 275 space car park with plenty of room for shoppers and visitors alike.
Built on the site of teh British Insulated Callender Cables works, Cables Retail Park is a short walk from bustling Eccleston Street. At Cables, you'll find large store's selling everything from DIY to sportwear. There's also fast food reataurants and ample space to park.
