Southport Events

One of the first things you'll notice about Southport is that it's constantly buzzing with activity. That's because it hosts some of the biggest and best events in the North West, attracting over half a million visitors every year.

2007 promises to be one of the best years yet with the fantastic Southport Food and Drink Festival taking place over 4 days in May, then in late May until early June, you can visit the exciting Southport International Jazz Festival, with over 70 concerts at 20 venues around Southport.

July sees Southport's famous Summer Classics, with music from The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, whilst the UK's largest independent flower show, Southport Flower Show, takes place in August.

There's military and civilian aircraft galore at Southport Air Show and Military Display in September, while in October six of the country's top pyrotechnic display teams will dazzle the senses of judges and spectators alike at the British Musical Fireworks Championships.

Finally, October sees Southport Comedy Week which showcases the pick of stand-ups from the region and across the UK with gigs all over the town.
