Family Fun in Liverpool

Depending on your mood, you could visit one of our museums or galleries to get their little brains working, take a tour of the city, visit the beach, ride the Mersey Ferry, do some walking on the Wirral or go up the Liverpool Cathedral or St John's Beacon to take in the stunning views.

And let's not forget that the Liverpool City Region is home to three major football clubs: Liverpool, Everton and Tranmere Rovers. A great day can be built around the thrill of the stadium, and there are museums devoted to the major clubs themselves.

One of the most memorable ways to spend an hour with your kids is touring the city and dock on the Yellow Duckmarine. It's an unmissable vehicle that takes you on a road tour of the city, then splashes into the Mersey and becomes a floating pleasure cruise! (and if you're feeling mischievous, don't tell them about the second bit).

Liverpool is well equipped with theatres, too. Check the "what's on" pages and you'll probably find performances that will entertain the whole family, especially during the panto season. Or you could take them to one of the city's modern cinemas to enjoy the latest Hollywood family blockbuster.

This is just the tip of the iceberg, of course. The city centre is guaranteed to keep the smiles on their faces.
