Home to three Royals - Royal Birkdale, Royal Liverpool and Royal Lytham & St Annes, as well as seven other championship links courses, it is a truly a magnificent international golfing destination.
England's Golf Coast stretches from Cumbria in the north to Cheshire in the south, taking in Wirral and Southport and is home to the highest concentration of championship links courses in the world, boasting three of the top 20, and seven of the top 36 courses in the UK and Ireland. The area also boasts three courses that are ranked in the world's top 75.
The region has seen many golfing firsts, such as the creation of the world-famous Stableford scoring system at Wallasey Golf Club on the Wirral. It has also played host to the greatest event in golf, The Open Championship, held here 32 times, most recently at Royal Birkdale in Southport in 2008, at the heart of England's Golf Coast.
A visit to England's Golf Coast is a must for any Golfer - the history and traditions, the challenging courses, the breathtaking scenery and the forces of nature combine to make it an experience not to be missed.
