Liverpool's new £19 million pound cruise berth officially opened on September 21st 2007 and will accommodate vessels of up to 350m in length alongside the city's UNESCO World Heritage waterfront.

In addition, Liverpool is the European Capital of Culture 2008, a title which will place it firmly on the global cruise map.

Liverpool is not only the birth place of the Beatles but is also a cultural capital, with more national museums, theatres and galleries than any other UK city outside London.
