Liverpool is a city that could re-invent itself as a living museum and you don't have to go far to immerse yourself in the architecture and heritage of the city. The Three Graces on its docks, the Walker Art Gallery, the magnificent Anglican Cathedral and modernist Metropolitan Cathedral, the Philharmonic Hall, with its amazing interior, the newly refurbished St George's Hall... the list goes on. The city also strengthens its relevance with contemporary architecture by staging the 12th RIBA Stirling Prize in November.
