Fir Tree Farm this a family run establishment that prides itself in caring for the environment. The Farm has been diversifying since 1998 having planted over 30 acres of native, broadleaf trees, all having public access through a network of permissible paths. There is also a stewardship scheme which aims to conserve native species of birds and mammals through various arable options.
The farm produces strawberries and vegetables which are sold from the farm.
The Farm also hosts a willow bed which is used by Alexandra James-'Willoweve' a willow artist who works from the Farm.
The farm has a well stocked farm shop which specialises in local organic produce and specialist foods, all housed in a magnificent stone barn. The shop stocks the best of local and regional produce, with the aim of reducing food miles and yet providing a full range of products.
‘Seasons’ Café offers lunches and snacks using the Finest local ingredients with a seasonal theme. There is an indoor and outdoor seating area with a relaxed and interesting atmosphere. Seasons cafe is an outlet for a wide range of organic produce, from vegetables to preserves.
'Seasons' provides an ideal resting place for weary legs after a walk through the conservation area and has teas, coffees, snacks and much more for you to enjoy there and then or to purchase and take home.
There is also an accessible 37 hectare wildlife haven, incorporating a network of walking paths and a conservation pond.
Fir Tree Farm, part of the Mersey Forest, is a 37 hectare site, playing a host to many species of trees, plants and insects. It also incorporates a network of paths, making it an ideal choice for conservationists and walkers. Fir Tree Farm boasts views of the skyline of Liverpool and beyond from Billinge Hill and is close to local facilities an pubs serving good food.
Fir Tree Farm is situated approximately 10 minutes from the A580 and links to Manchester ,Liverpool and the M6.
