Based in the Albert Dock, this shipshape museum contains four floors of fascinating galleries that explore the city’s maritime legacy. Displays look at Liverpool’s important role during the Second World War, life at sea with the merchant navy and the brand new Titanic, Lusitania and the Forgotten Empress gallery. The Maritime Archive and Library also contains one of the finest collections of merchant shipping records in the UK.
Merseyside Maritime Museum is currently host to 'Magical History Tour' which runs until 27th September 2009. The exhibition charts the citys growth from a tiny fishing village to a modern city.

Road Directions
The Maritime Museum is located at the Albert Dock on Liverpool's famous waterfront, adjacent to the Pier Head. Please note that the riverside walkway between Pier Head and the Albert Dock will be closed until early 2009 while construction takes place in the area. Major roadworks are currently taking place in the Albert Dock area which may affect Strand Street and other routes to the museum.

Located in the Albert Dock complex, the nearest train station is at James Street.
