The city of Liverpool has a great reputation for gay nightlife
and here is a taster;
MASQUERADE BAR
The Masquerade on Cumberland Street bills itself as Liverpool's friendliest gay bar and you'd be hard pushed to find anyone who would disagree. A mixture of high camp, catty drag queens, quizzes, games and karaoke and, above all, the legendary atmosphere makes The Masquerade the "local" of choice for many of the city's gay population. Visitors, both gay and straight are always made to feel very welcome.
THE LISBON
The Lisbon is quite literally the cornerstone of the Stanley Street scene. It's probably the best known gay pub in the city and is perennially popular. It's a magnificent example of Liverpool pub architecture with its ornate ceiling and wood panelling. An excellent meeting place to start off an evening on the town but with the late opening hours you'll probably return at some point during the night.
THE CURZON
Another stalwart of the scene and undeniably the most "traditional" of the city's gay bars, The Curzon is predominantly a men only hang-out, especially during the day. You can find it on Temple Lane just off Victoria Street.
