Centred around the thatched Tam O'Shanter Cottage, this small city farm covers four acres of land on the edge of Bidston Hill.
The aim of the farm is to establish a small, but varied collection of farm animals in an urban area, thereby making them accessible to many people, especially children!
The farm has taken great care to be a safe place for children to play and adults to relax, to be accessible for disabled people and to be an educational as well as a fun place to visit. All paths are wheelchair accessible.
Facilities include a cafe, picnic area, nature trail and small play area. The farm is open every day - 9.30am to 4.30pm - admission is FREE, however donations are welcome!
Leave the M53 at Junction1 and follow the signs for Birkenhead. After the roundabout, carry on towards Birkenhead on Hoylake Rd (A553) and you will pass through a set of traffic lights and a pelican crossing. Turn first right into Worcester Road, second left into Boundary Rd, then follow the Brown Tourist signs to Tam O'Shanter Farm.
The nearest train station is Birkenhead North.
