Hosted by Kinetophone Records, Liverpool’s first international audiovisual (AV) festival sees
local and international artists collaborating to produce largescale video installations and an
outdoor AV festival, which will transform the Mersey Tunnel Air Vent into a spectacular array
of colour, light and sound.
Opening live performance and collaboration will include Addictive TV (#1 VJ’s in the world – DJ
Magazine Poll), Flat-e (Warp) and local AV collective Kinetic Fallacy, plus a specially commissioned
projected installation onto the façade of the 1930s Air Vent, from NOMO (NYC/David Byrne)
and local artist Jacqueline Passmore (Ladytron / Stereolab).
Exploring the intrinsic link between Visuals and Music: Commissioned AV performances, film screenings, an outdoor bike – in cinema will be happening in and around the newly refurbished Bluecoat and FACT.
Responding to Liverpool’s cityscape, a public programme of workshops will also be staged, which will include a range of training events, master classes and the showcase of work for a public audience.

Sound is consumed as much in sight as hearing – lengthening shadows, making the inanimate animated and your subconscious squirm.
Kinetophone Records brings you a rare blend of twisted beats, dark samples and virtuoso instrumentation all set to the backdrop of synced multi-media visuals.
Previous performances: ‘The Big Chill’, ‘The Commonwealth Film Festival’ and BBC Radio 3.
Commissioned and licensed music for ITV adverts, radio adverts, short films and dance companies.
