Click the web link at the top right hand of this page for full details of this year's Champion of Champions event. 2008 is the 10th Anniversary of the British Musical Fireworks Championships and to tie in with European Capital Of Culture Year in Liverpool we are celebrating by inviting all past British Musical Fireworks Champions back to Southport for a Champion of Champions Event.

The event is one of Southport's most spectacular, a competition providing a visual feast of entertainment for thousands of spectators over one weekend. Each of the previous champions, all top professional UK firework companies, will fire a display lasting approximately 16 - 18 minutes. The displays synchronised to music, will illuminate the Southport skyline and cast magnificent reflections across the Marine Lake. These displays are judged by professional and lay judges and at the end of the competition a winner will be crowned Champion of Champions. Members of the public attending can find out who has won on the internet or by calling the TIC on Monday 6th October.

All seven previous winners will be returning to Southport and there will be two displays on Friday 3rd and Sunday 5th and Saturday evening, the 4th, will be extra special featuring three displays.
