Cancer Research Relay for Life Liverpool

Relay for Life is a sponsored walking relay that everyone can get involved in. People enter in teams of around 10 and take it in turns to walk around an athletics track over a period of 24 hours, ensuring that one person from each team is walking around the track at all times. Meanwhile, activities take place around the track to keep everyone entertained throughout the Relay including bands, comedians, dance groups, exercise classes and musical performances. There will also be a candlelit ceremony at midnight to remember those affected by cancer. All the teams camp on the track over night and entertainment is provided throughout to create a celebratory, carnival style atmosphere.
