Community Shakespeare presented by The Reader Organisation

Inspired by a grass-roots Shakespeare season in New York’s Central Park (which was modelled on Birkenhead Park, below) ‘the bard’ comes to the Wirral to celebrate ‘08.

Under the eye of a professional director, volunteers perform a three-night open-air production of ‘TheWinter’s Tale’. There’s always an open invitation to play, or make music, or
costumes, or design the tickets, or staple programmes, put the chairs out, or sell the ice-creams…or to simply sit back and watch.

In partnership with Wirral Borough Council Cultural Services Department and Wirral PCT.
