3rd May - 14th June 08: Tate Liverpool will celebrate its twentieth birthday in style - bringing together music, song and dance to celebrate the past, present and future of the gallery. More information

The region's largest multicultural parade sees the final part of our four-year carnival arts programme 'Crossing Waters', depicting the story of Liverpool's participation in the transatlantic slave trade. More information

24-25th May 08. Mickey's hosting a musical party at the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and everyone's invited! The story unfolds as the Playhouse Disney Postess delivers party invitations to all of Mickey's Playhouse Disney pals. More information

16 June - 26 Aug 08. Up to 100 Superlambananas, one of Liverpool's most iconic and best-loved pieces of public art - originally, created by Taro Chiezo for Arts Transpennine in 1998-will be painted, decorated and adorned by local and regional artists, community groups and celebrities. Liverpool Young Culture Action Group will be presenting a Community Showcase Day in St Georges Hall on Sunday, August 10th, 11.30- 4pm. More information

20-22 June 08. The funniest and freshest, award-winning show of the moment, packed with moves, music, fun and a great story, all set in this amazingly colourful, fast-paced, upside-down world. More information
21-22nd June: One of the most popular shows of its kind in the region, attracting motoring enthusiasts, experts, collectors, buyers and exhibitors from all over the UK and of course visitors looking for a great day out. More information
26th July: Involve around 400 young people from across Sefton. The opera tells the story of the villagers of Itoku and their journey into slavery from Benin to Liverpool, which is a mixture of music, dance and drama. More information
6-7th Sept 08: Southport Airshow is recognised as the North West's largest Airshow and this fantastic family event attracts up to 150,000 spectators over two days. More information
3-5th Oct 08: The event is one of Southport's most spectacular, a competition providing a visual feast of entertainment for thousands of spectators over one weekend. More information
29 May 08. It's the last day of term at school...and for the Mr Men and Little Miss that means one thing...its sports day, but not before one final school lesson with Mrs Chalk, their teacher! More information

7-8th June 08. The 'Dips' at New Brighton are again to be the venue for Wirral's sixth annual Kite Festival, featuring award winning guest fliers from all over the country. More information
