Hungry and alone in the forest, Hansel and Gretel are armed with their very last slice of bread. Will they eat to survive, or leave a trail home instead?
Let the irrepressible Kneehigh Theatre take you by the hand and lead you into deepest part of the forest! Prepare for a world of darkness, wit and wonder, of earthy delights and crooked shadows. A world that is sweet…. but never sugary.
This tender, tasty and terrifying new version of the classic story is told through lively music, rough poetry, the most amazing gadgets and gizmos...

Travelling by Car
If you're travelling from outside the city, follow signage for Queen Square or St John's Car Parks to reach the Playhouse and follow brown signage for cathedrals to find the Everyman (which is positioned between the two cathedrals on Hope Street, nearest to the Metropolitan cathedral).
Travelling by Bus
The Playhouse is a few minutes walk from the bus stops at Queen Square and Sir Thomas Street. The new interchange for Paradise Street is now open and serves buses from across Merseyside.
The Everyman is currently served by many buses using Hope Street and also buses to Brownlow Hill and Oxford Street (both by the Metropolitan Cathedral).

Travelling by Train
Central Station which serves the Merseyrail network is a 5 minute walk to the Playhouse and 10-15 minutes up Mount Pleasant to the Everyman. Lime Street Station (Liverpool's main rail station) is a 5 minute walk to the Playhouse and 10 minutes from the Everyman.
