Liverpool's dramatic, circular, modern Roman Catholic Cathedral features glorious multi-coloured windows and modern artworks. The Cathedral was designed by Sir Frederick Gibberd and was completed in 1967. The site also includes the crypt by Sir Edward Lutyen, the only section of a grand design that was never realised.
