Christians have been worshipping on this site for over 750 years. The main body of the current church was designed by Edward Butler and was completed in 1952. The oldest part of the church is the Tower which dates back to 1811 - 1815 which miraculously survived war time bombing. The church and garden contain numerous features of interest.
