Royal Liver Building

The Royal Liver Building is one of the most recognised buildings in the world. Situated on the Liverpool waterfront it is one in a collection of three buildings that are known as Liverpool's Three Graces. The Building was designed by Walter Aubrey Thomas in 1908, and was completed in 1911 it was one of the first buildings in the world to have a reinforced concrete structure.
The building is named for the Royal Liver Assurance who constructed the building to be their head office. Tours must be pre booked.

From Southport and Preston, follow signs to City Centre and Pier Head.

From M53 West Exit at jct 1 and follow signs to Wallasey Docks (A5139)

Public Transport Directions

Train - Liverpool Lime Street to Liverpool James Street Station. Pier Head is located approximatly 450 metres from James Street station next to the 3 Graces on the waterfront.
