Out of the Shadows

A major project based around recorded reminiscences of older people with a range of physical and mental disabilities.

The project will trace their stories from childhood through to institutionalisation to, attitudes of what we might call, ‘normal people’.

It explores too their sexuality and relationships and their treatment by society today, culminating in a provocative exhibition at St George’s Hall.
