Why not take the opportunity to participate in the popular Liverpool Queensway Mersey Tunnel Tour.

· A unique behind the scenes tour

· Go beneath the city and walk under the Tunnel road surface

· Witness an engineering masterpiece first hand.

The tour takes approximately 2-3 hours and is held on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday evening at 5pm and Saturday mornings at 10am. Suitable for children aged 10 years and over. The admission fee is £6.00.

For groups of 10 or more or educational groups, tours can be arranged at other times outside of our normal tour times.

Please note that there are many steps to walk up and down and that some areas can be a bit dirty and cold so please wear suitable clothing and footwear.

There are a small range of souvenirs available to purchase to commemorate your visit.

Road Directions

Liverpool city centre is approximately 45 minutes drive from Chester, Manchester and North Wales. From the M6 the M62 leads into the city from the east. If travelling from North Wales or Chester take the M56 and then the M53 to the city via the Kingsway Tunnel (toll).

The service is available between 7am and 8pm on Mondays to Fridays and 8am to 8pm on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.

    The tour guides were very good so no criticism there, but I just wasn't enormously interested. Perhaps engineering and tunnels are not for me! Read full review
