4* Inn
Centrally located in Heswall, The Jug & Bottle has six bedrooms, all of which are spacious and comfortable with en-suite facilities, LCD television, tea & coffee making facilities, FREE wireless internet and free parking. With its secluded surroundings, 'The Jug' as it is affectionately known by the locals offers a retreat on the doorstep of Chester and Liverpool and is only a stone's throw from the M53 and M56.
There are double, twin, single and family rooms available. Many of the rooms enjoy views over the Dee Estuary to the hills of North Wales or over to the stunning and distinctive skyline of Liverpool and over the tranquil gardens surrounding the guesthouse. You will find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere at The Jug with a lively and popular public bar.
The Jug is a good base for walkers exploring the Wirral Way and Wirral Coast.
All room tariffs include a full English breakfast. The inn’s central location means that it is only a couple of minutes walk from the centre of town and from a wide selection of restaurants, cafes, takeaways and shops.
The Jug serves a delicious homemade menu of all time favourite pub classics along with some hearty seasonal specials. All of the food is sourced locally where possible from Wirral and surrounding farmers to both support local business and also to showcase the fantastic produce that this area has to offer. We like to use seasonal meats, game, fruit and vegetables so that our menu stays fresh and we can offer dishes that you may not see on every menu such as locally shot pheasant or Claremont asparagus. (Bar is dog friendly).
The Jug is a perfect location for golfers wanting to sample the many delightful courses that Wirral has to offer.
Parking
We have a large car park, which is free to guests but please use the right hand side as you approach the pub as the left hand side is a ‘pay and display’ public car park.
Additional features
• Children are accepted at the Jug & Bottle and are permitted in the bar until 8.00pm unless dining with parents
