Spooky season is nearly upon us and there are lots of ways to celebrate Halloween in Liverpool.

 

From ghost tours to haunted scare attractions, rave nights, family friendly days out and even a Halloween Pantomime - we’ve rounded up some spine-tingling events not to miss.

Halloween Movie Nights

 

You can’t beat watching a scary movie at spooky season and there are lots of venues around Liverpool doing special Halloween movie nights. Duke Street Market are putting on a host of spooky films to enjoy whilst digging into their tasty dishes whilst over at the Bombed Out Church you can watch a selection of scary movies including The Exorcist, Beetlejuice and A Nightmare on Elm Street under the stars!


 

Newsham Scream Park

 

Long since abandoned to the elements, Newsham Park is a mecca for ghost hunters and thrill seekers and at Halloween it turns into a scare maze not for the faint-hearted. With three nightmarish experiences to take on, it’s the ultimate Halloween experience in one of the UK’s most haunted buildings.

Farmaggedon

 

Farmaggedon is an award-winning scare attraction in Liverpool. Nestled amidst the serene countryside, this Halloween experience will send shivers down the spine of anyone who dares to enter! With a range of scare mazes and attractions, head over for an adrenaline-pumping scare experience. 

 

Bongo’s Bingo Halloween Special

 

Southern Comfort are teaming up with the legendary Bongo’s Bingo this Halloween for a special spooky show on 29 October. Get your scariest costumes ready for a Halloween twist on the classic bingo night out in Liverpool. 

 

Stranger Things at Camp and Furnace

 

Things are about to get strange at Camp and Furnace as they welcome a Stranger Things Special this Halloween. Don your favourite Stranger Things costume and head to The Upside Down for a night of 80s classics, soundtrack hits, themed cocktails, Halloween treats and spooky surprises. 


 

KISS Haunted House Party at M&S Bank Arena

 

The iconic VOXI Presents KISS Haunted House Party is back this spooky season and heading to Liverpool for the first time! Featuring huge artists including Leigh-Anne, Becky Hill, Jax Jones, Joel Corry, Rudimental, Zara Larson and lots more - you won’t want to miss this!

Cream Halloween

 

The spirit of Cream is returning to Liverpool this Halloween with a massive line up at Grand Central Hall. With a selection of DJs performing including Sam Divine, Low Steppa, GW Harrison and lots more don’t miss out on tickets for this Halloween night out on 28 October. 

 

Circus Halloween

 

Blackstone Street Warehouse are hosting a Halloween special of Circus on 28 October. Their legendary Halloween Party includes sets from Sven Vath, Robert Hood & Lyric, Richy Ahmed B2B Yousef and lots more. 

 

Liverpool Dark Side: Halloween Walking Tour

 

Do something spooktacular on Halloween with a walking tour of Liverpool after dark. Walk in the footsteps of Jack the Ripper and the Castle Street witches, discovering the history as you go. 

 

Murder Mystery: Ghostly Goings On

 

There have been some unusual unexplainable activities at the Southport Theatre - it’s time to call in the experts. The failing online series that visits Britain’s most notorious paranormal hot spots, hoping to capture some apparition sightings. Unfortunately, they haven’t caught any yet…until tonight! Croxteth Hall Ghost Hunt

 

Haunted Rooms invites you on a thrilling night of ghost hunting at Croxteth Hall, one of Liverpool's most historic and haunted locations. You’ll have exclusive access to areas otherwise off-limits in the hall as the Haunted Rooms team take you round the spooky site. 

 

The Nest


Give your home a Halloween makeover with a trip to The Nest. Boasting a selection of homewares from local designers and makers, The Nest has a new collection of wooden figure decorations from Kayleigh Radcliffe. Intricately illustrated, take your pick from witches, cats, ghosts, skeletons and more.

Halloween Brunch at Gaucho


Join Gaucho this spooky season for brunch on 28 October. Kick off witching hour with bottomless drinks and free-flowing starters before diving into a beautiful brunch dish, finishing with a chocolate brownie or banana pancakes. Top it all off with DJ’s and live entertainment for a Halloween day out. 

 

Burnt Milk Hotel 


Back with another spooktacular wine-tasting event, join Burnt Milk Hotel on Friday 27th October for ‘Hallowine’ in Anchor Courtyard from 7pm until late. Priced at £40pp, enjoy an evening of lip-smacking reds, whites and fizz accompanied by snacks and a costume competition for those who fancy getting creative. The dock’s resident wine bar will be partying into the night with doors opening for free entry after 9pm.

 

Revolucion de Cuba


Start Halloween celebrations early with Recolucion de Cuba’s first drag brunch on Saturday 27th October. Hosted by Kiki Pain, enjoy delicious Cuban-inspired food including quesadillas, burgers and churros paired with 90 minutes of bottomless drinks and non-stop entertainment from 5:30pm, priced at £35pp.

Halloween Party at Liverpool ONE

 

Liverpool ONE will be bringing a fancy dress competition, scary characters and all things frightful this October for Halloween!

On Sunday 29 October, Liverpool ONE will be hosting a special spooky event with Radio City from 12pm – 5pm. This will include a spooky fancy dress competition, ghoulish guests and zombie dancers. Witches, wizards and zombies are all welcome, as are scary versions of Paw Patrollers or Peppa Pigs or anything our creative younger customers would like to add to the mix.

Pumpkin Patch Pantomime


Get ready for Halloween at Speke Hall as Scenic Outdoor Theatre puts on a barnstorming theatrical performance for the whole family. This laugh-a-minute pantomime takes on a Halloween twist with all your traditional panto favourites. 

 

Halloween at Port Sunlight 


Port Sunlight have a range of Halloween events for the whole family to enjoy. From craft sessions to slime and soap workshops and a haunting tales of Port Sunlight tour, there’s plenty of spooky activity taking place in the iconic venue. 

 

The Beatles Story


Little ones can get into the spirit of Halloween with a series of drop-in workshops located in The Beatles Story’s Discovery Zone. From 10pm-3pm on Tuesday 31st October, get creative by designing a colourful costume for each member of the Fab Four or make a Beatles-themed Halloween lantern ready to take trick or treating.  

 

Halloween Family Day at Aintree Racecourse


Get ready for a spooktacular experience filled with thrills and excitements for the whole family. Eerie characters will roam the racecourse alongside spooky surprises and a ghost train on this special race day at Aintree. 

 

Raver Tots Halloween Party


Raver Tots are taking over Invisible Wind Factory with a massive Halloween Party - where fancy dress is highly encouraged. With special effects, dancers, performers, bubbles, parachute games, giant balloons and face painting - the kids will love this Halloween family friendly rave. 

 

Pumpkin Picking


For a fun family activity and a great way to get into the Halloween spirit head to a local pumpkin patch to pick your own pumpkin! The Pumpkin Patch Hightown opens from 1 October with a huge selection of pumpkins to pick from. 

 

Otterspool Adventure - Ottersghoul


Celebrate the spooky season the Ottersghoul way as they present Villainous - a family show starring some of the most famous villains of all time. Join Winifred Sanderson, Cruella DeVil, Captain Hook, Ursula and the Evil Queen as they take over the park with their wicked way. They’ve also welcomed the Old Burial Hill and Pumpkin Party Parade this year so there’s lots of the kids to explore.
