Stand in awe and admire the UK’s tallest Christmas tree

This Christmas, retail and leisure destination Liverpool ONE is home to the tallest tree in the UK. Standing 30 metres tall, the iconic centrepiece outside John Lewis on Paradise Street, is decorated with 280 twinkling hearts guaranteed to get shoppers in the festive spirit.

          

Enjoy a cracking Christmas at Albert Dock

With a nod to Victorian times, the city’s famous Albert Dock will be getting into the traditional spirit of Christmas featuring larger than life Christmas characters, roast chestnuts, entertainment, yuletide choirs and many, many more surprises to unwrap. The festive family fun is free and runs every weekend in the run up to Christmas from 28 November.

            

Join Jack Frost on The Snowflake Trail

Liverpool City Centre will be transformed into a wintry wonderland by Jack Frost who will scatter magical snowflakes around the city, including Britain’s biggest snowflake, for families to find on an amazing trail of artist sculptures, window displays and lights. Running from 19 November to 3 January, families will have to solve clues at twelve locations on the Snowflake Trail for the chance to win wonderful prizes.

        

Have some fun at Liverpool ONE’s magical Ice Festival

The Ice Festival will return to Liverpool ONE from 13 November to 3 January, transforming Chavasse Park into a wintry wonderland. The cool attractions include an ice rink, fairground rides to entertain the little ones and a cosy Après Lodge to enjoy a mulled wine or hot chocolate. Standing at 6m tall and 30m long, the festival also includes the UKs largest ice slide.

             

Experience Liverpool’s enchanting Christmas Markets

Returning to the city for its 11th year, Liverpool’s Christmas Markets have more than 80 stalls selling gifts from around the globe from 20 November until 19 December. There are also food stalls selling everything from mouth-watering paella, rich German frankfurters and Italian pastries.

              

Watch the magical 'Winterscape' animations bring the city streets to life 

See the immersive 'Winterscapes' on Doran's Lane, Williamson St, Tarleton St, and Basnett St as these locations are transformed into swirling snowstorms of light and sound that are sure to give you that magical Christmas feeling. The installations will run as part of The Snowflake Trail from 20 Nov until 3 Jan.

                      

Meet the Snow Queen at the magical lantern parade 

Come and meet the illuminated Snow Queen on 19 December as the world-famous Liverpool Lantern Company presents a musical, yuletide procession around Albert Dock. The 200ft tall ship, Stavros S Niarchos, will also return to the Dock for her annual winter rest, inviting visitors to step aboard this stunning vessel and explore her magnificent decks on select weekends throughout the season.

           

Enjoy some traditional cheer at Liverpool Cathedral

The magnificent surroundings of Liverpool Cathedral will be buzzing with a month long parade of events, concerts and seasonal offerings. From its spectacular Advent Sunday service through to a wonderful Boxing Day Organ recital it has something for everyone. With the widest range of nativity sets in its shop and festive fare in its restaurants you can feel truly seasonal at Liverpool Cathedral this year.

             

Bag some late night bargains

From 16 November, Liverpool will be alive with the hustle and bustle of late night Christmas shopping. Admire the premium designer brands down Peter’s Lane, pick up some boutique bargains down Bold Street or stroll along the shops in Church Street. Late night shopping begins at Liverpool ONE on Black Friday, 27 November when stores will stay open until 9pm weekdays.
