The Great British weather is famous for its unpredictability. If you find yourself caught in a rainy day in Liverpool, there are endless indoor activities all over the city which can keep you entertained until the sun comes out again. Here are three itineraries which will keep you busy inside whilst the weather isn't great...

DAY 1 - Ropewalks

9.30AM
BREAKFAST

Leaf offers the best brews in town with its extensive menu of loose leaf teas, but they also have an award-winning menu of light and full breakfasts, brunch and breakfast sandwiches – you’ll struggle to choose; just make sure you get to taste their homemade hash browns!

11.00AM
MUSEUM

Around the corner is art museum/cinema FACT (Foundation for Art & Creative Technology), take an hour or two to explore one of the exciting exhibitions on display or watch a film in one of the three state-of-the-art cinema rooms.

1.00PM
LUNCH

Head to Maray for delicious middle-eastern inspired small plates. PLUS… they have a great lunch time deal served from 12-5pm Monday-Friday!

3.00PM
GAME ON!

Roxy Ball Room in Liverpool ONE is the best place to have a laugh with your mates whilst playing a 'friendly' game of ping pong, pool... or even better, BEER PONG.. Or Prosecco, whatever tickles your fancy! Expect a relaxed atmosphere with great music and cocktails.

If ping pong isn't your idea of fun, perhaps crazy golf with a ghetto twist is? Ghetto golf 'A seriously twisted' 18 hole mini golf experience, located in former Cains Brewery. There's a cocktail bar, top local DJs and loads and loads of boss grafitti.

6.30PM
DINNER

Below Roxy Ballroom is Lunya. Their menu provides a wide range of tapas and a la carte meals, many based on the concept of fusion - blending recipes, and ingredients from Spain and the UK to create ‘passion on a plate’.

EVENING

Fancy dancing until the early hours? There are loads of great bars and clubs in the Ropewalks area. We recommend heading to Heebie Jeebies, The Merchant or the Jacaranda for a proper Liverpool night out.

DAY 2
Waterfront

10.00AM
BREAKFAST

Head to Bill’s for a hearty breakfast which will set you up for the rest of the day. We recommend trying the full English or Buttermilk Pancakes with Banana, Strawberries and Blueberries.

11.00AM
MUSEUM

The waterfront is also home to some of the city’s enviable collection of national museums. The newest major addition to the Liverpool skyline is the distinctive white lines of the Museum of Liverpool, which was built in 2011 to sit alongside the Three Graces. Inside, the museum explores how the port and its people, have shaped the city’s story.

Another popular venue is Merseyside Maritime Museum and International Slavery Museum, a former warehouse which has four floors of exhibits looking at the influence the water has had on Liverpool over the last three centuries.

Tate Liverpool has a permanent collection boasting artwork from names such as Picasso, Matisse and Cezanne. It has also built a reputation for outstanding exhibitions, with its recent Chagall, Pollock and Warhol shows winning widespread critical acclaim. With a constantly changing events programme, a visit is strongly recommended.

2.00PM
LUNCH

Cosy and often described as a hidden gem, Smuggler's Cove offers world-famous rums and a deli-style food menu. We recommend trying their famous hanging kebabs, or perhaps a sharing platter between friends.

4.00PM
BRUSH UP ON THE BEATLES

Brush up your knowledge on all things related to the Fab Four at The Beatles Story, an interactive museum which tells the tale of the Liverpool band which changed the music world. From their childhood to their Hamburg adventures, Beatlemania to their later solo careers. Filled with memorbilia and artefacts, the museum is fantastically detailed and accessible for all ages.

6.30PM
WINE & DINNER

Enjoy classic and contemporary Italian dishes at Gusto, a sophisticated bar and restaurant with a glamourous view overlooking the waterfront.

💡 BONUS 💡

MUSIC – The Echo Arena is situated at the heart of Kings Dock, its unique – not only because of its location on Liverpool’s magnificent Waterfront, it is the only arena and convention centre under one roof in Europe. The Echo Arena regularly hosts big names in the music and comedy worlds from Elton John and Beyoncé to Peter Kay and Michael McIntyre. Check out their listings to find out what’s on.

LATE EVENING

Head to Revolution de Cuba for an exciting range of cocktails which will take you straight to the heart of Cuban life.

DAY 3
GEORGIAN QUARTER

10.00AM
BREAKFAST

There’s no better place to enjoy breakfast in the Georgian Quarter than at Moose Coffee Shop. Tuck into their famous American-style pancakes or their Lula Puebla dish… fresh smashed avocado served on a toasted sourdough with salsa verde, two poached eggs and chilli flakes.

CULTURE

Take a tour around Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral, the biggest Cathedral in the U.K. which dominates the city skyline for miles around. The architectural masterpiece features the highest and heaviest carillon of bells in the world and Britain’s mightiest organ. Words cannot do it justice, it must be seen to be believed.

1.00PM

Head to HOST for their Chop Chop Express Lunch menu... Delicious Asian-inspired small plates for only £6 each! We can also HIGHLY recommend the cocktails, that are 2 for £10 before 8PM!
