For an unforgettable day out with the family, take a trip to Knowsley Safari. Kick off your day with a tour of the 550 acre Safari Drive and get acquainted with over 700 wild animals, from baboons to camels, wildebeest to tigers, all from the comfort of your own car.

The drive through lion enclosure is a real highlight of the safari drive while for many visitors the baboons are the stars of the show. Whether up close, on the Baboon Bus or by taking the car friendly route, you’ll get a great view of the monkey madness; the boisterous baboons that have become Knowsley’s trademark. Feed vultures in the Birds of Prey Experience, get up close and personal in the Giraffe Tower plus amusement rides and play areas to keep little ones entertained all day!


5. Channel your inner Ninja 🏃

The Adventure Dock Co is Liverpool’s newest and bounciest family attraction. The aqua park is a giant inflatable obstacle course on the water at Duke’s Dock. The course is made up of huge inflatable free-fall slides, trampolines, rafts and barriers. You’ll bounce, splash and slide whilst racing your family and friends around this fun-filled course, you’ll leave with a huge smile and totally wiped out!


6. Need for speed 🚗

The biggest, loudest and most precise motorsport events to ever hit the UK – is coming to Liverpool this summer. Red Bull Drift Shifters are heading to the city on Sunday 19 August to showcase their skills as they rip through the streets just feet from the crowds in the shadow of the iconic Royal Liver Building.

Red Bull Drift Shifters is a drifting event like no other, bringing 12 of the world’s best drifters together and testing their nerve as they’re put on a custom track on the streets of Liverpool, rigged with advanced proximity and speed sensors. Ten thousand spectators will be as close to the action as physically possible to witness the drivers putting their skills, speed and precision to the test.

Try out Wakeboarding on the Dock water at Liverpool Wake Park! The fastest growing watersport in the world with over 5 million participants. It’s similar to snowboarding or skateboarding on water, and has become the cool and youthful alternative to water skiing. Wakeboarding is a very easy sport to learn and has an amazing and quick progression ladder for developing and improving!



8. Solve the puzzle of Speke Hall Maze 👀

Lose yourself in the mysterious puzzle of Speke Hall's Maze. Follow the trail and see if you can spot the horses and carts, ploughs and wheatsheaves on your way round! Designed by world's leading maze designer, there are six intertwining routes with 12 gates, 5 bridges, 4 finger mazes, 3 weather vanes and a viewing tower. While you're at Speke Hall, the kids can have a run in the play area or explore the Giant Childe of Hale Play trail or hunt for fairies.


9. Hop on board ⛴️

Take an adventure over the river on the Mersey Ferry. Enjoy the Wirral's coast and countryside attractions such as West Kirkby Sailing Lake and Birkenhead Park. Visit Port Sunlight’s beautiful model village and award-winning tourist attraction boasting wide boulevards lined with charming cottages. Take an inspirational journey through space and science at the Spaceport museum, or discover The Black Pearl, the incredible pirate ship washed up on New Brighton beach.

Wirral Sailing Centre is the perfect place to indulge in your adventurous side.
