A 2 day itinerary to help you stay fit and healthy on a trip to Liverpool – along with a couple of treats thrown in for good measure, of course!

Just because you’re on holiday doesn’t mean you can’t stay healthy, especially in Liverpool! We’ve got tonnes of fun things to do, delicious places to eat and even somewhere you can enjoy a bottle of organic beer.

We’ve tried and tested everything below to make sure we’re only recommending you the very best. Lucky you!

SOMEWHERE TO STAY

Raddison Blu is situated in the heart of the city – putting you right in the middle of all the action! Enjoy 4* luxury rooms with stunning views across the River Mersey and waterfront, perfect for giving you that morning motivation.

The best part about this hotel? It’s spa and health club! At your disposal is a gym, swimming pool, spa pool, sauna, steam room and chill out area! You won’t have to step outside to keep fit on your trip – we can’t think of anything better!

DAY 1

10AM
BREAKFAST AT DALE STREET EATERY

They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so there’s no room for compromise! We’ve got the perfect place for you to try, Dale Street Eatery. Based on Dale Street (clue in the name), they serve up some of the most delicious breakfasts around.

We recommend: Avocado on rye toast with a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice.

11AM
SPLASH ABOUT AT ADVENTURE DOCK

Imagine this: huge inflatable free-fall slides, trampolines, rafts, barriers and obstacles. Now, picture all of this on the Albert Dock and you’ve got yourself one hell of a fun morning!
Each one hour session cost £20 which includes a wetsuit, buoyancy aid and helmet – just don’t forget to bring your swimming trunks or costume with you!

12.30PM
WALK TO LUNCH

The best thing about Liverpool? Most things are only ever a short walk or cycle ride away, which means you are always getting your exercise in! Once you’ve finished having fun over at Adventure Dock, it’s not time to make your way to lunch. You’ll have earnt this one and we’ve got just the place.

LIV Organic & Natural Food Market is where you’ll be having lunch which is based over on Bold Street.

Time to take the short journey just outside of Liverpool City Centre to Awesome Walls Climbing Centre in Vauxhall, close to Merseyrail’s Sandhills station. Here you’ll be able to experience the thrill of climbing without the huge risk of doing it outside!

Whether you’re new to climbing or a complete expert, Awesome Walls Liverpool have a range of different walls suited to all experience levels. Why not be daring and try them all?

5PM
FOOD AND DRINK AT THE QUARTER

After a jam-packed, active day out, you’ll need some good grub to re-fuel yourself for tomorrow! We’ve got just the place: The Quarter. An Italian inspired restaurant, they pride themselves on delivering healthy, fresh food. From pizza to pasta, you’ll find a delicious dish here.

7PM
DANCE DOWN AT THE CAVERN

Liverpool’s stunning 235 acre, Grade 1 historic park is a site to see – trust us! There’s no better way to get there than by bike. Hope back on to your City Bike and head back towards the city centre because lunch is waiting. The great thing about City Bike is that you can log in to the website after your ride to see exactly how many miles you’ve travelled and even the calories you’ve burnt! It may just influence your lunch decision…

1PM

Learn a new skill or have a go at something you love. Here you can take part in sailing, kayaking, canoeing, windsurfing, stand up paddle boarding, open water swimming or powerboating!

Liverpool Watersports Centre is a not for profit organisation meaning prices are low and you’ll be helping out a local charity too.

5PM
DINNER AT CASTLE ST TOWNHOUSE

You can still eat healthy when on holiday, even at fancy restaurants. Your final dinner in Liverpool will take you to Castle St Townhouse on Castle Street where you’ll be able to enjoy tasty dishes such as grilled tiger prawns for starters, stuffed sweet potato for mains and one of their special desserts of the day.

7PM
EXPERIENCE OUR FAMOUS NIGHTLIFE

Okay, one final treat before you go home! Liverpool’s nightlife is legendary, so much so that Rough Guide named it as the third essential thing you should do before you die – pretty epic in our eyes! You could venture down Matthew Street, home of The Beatles.

Or, you could take a trip to The Baltic Triangle which is one of Liverpool’s most upcoming and exciting places. Wherever you decide, you’re in for one hell of night!

And that’s it, your two day, action packed trip to Liverpool COMPLETE! There are lots more things to see and do in Liverpool, so why not stay a little longer, if you like?
