Mother’s Day is on Sunday 31st March this year and what better place to spend the special day with your mum than in Liverpool. Mums always say they don’t want a fuss but we all know they do really and they deserve to be treated to a lovely day out.

To help you plan that special Sunday with your mum we have picked out some things you can do that we know she will love; from food, drinks and relaxation, we've got the day covered. You could even pick a few and make a weekend out of it, afterall Liverpool is beautiful in the Spring.

If your mum is a fan of Everton football club then why not treat her to a tour of Goodison Park and afternoon tea. For one day only Goodison Park are putting on a special afternoon that will allow your mum to take a tour of the Blue’s stadium and then relax with some lunch. This is definitely one for the football fans.


Cuthbert’s Bakehouse is one of the best places to take your mum for a Mother’s day treat and a special afternoon tea. For the big day they are putting on a limited edition high tea that includes canapes, sandwiches, scones, sweet treats and a cocktail! Make sure you book everyone in for this quick so you don’t miss out. 


If your mum likes to do things a bit differently then punk afternoon tea at The Baltic Social will definitely be for her. Instead of the usual finger sandwiches and scones you’ll get everything from Big Baltic Macs, salt and pepper chicken, salted caramel popcorn brownies and strawberry milkshake mousse. Sounds amazing, right?



The great thing about The Brunch Club is that they serve your favourite breakfast items all day long! From full English breakfasts, to avocado on toast and eggs royale, there will be something for even the fussiest of mums, wash it down with a tea or even a cocktail and you’re good to go.


Leaf on Bold Street is the perfect place to take your mum for a Mother’s day breakfast in a beautiful setting. Their menu is spot on and has everything from full breakfasts that come in veggie and vegan options, pancakes and all your brunch favourites. They also have extensive tea and gin menus to make the morning that little bit extra special. 


Find The Quarter hidden in the stunning Georgian Quarter amongst the cobbled streets and tree lined roads; it’s the perfect peaceful place to take your mum for Mother’s Day brunch and their Quarter Classics always go down well.

Housed on Slater Street, Wreckfish is one of the coolest bistros in town and has a menu your mum would definitely appreciate. For Mother’s Day, they are putting on a special menu for the occasion with plenty to choose from so we’d recommend booking in early so you don't miss out. 


If your mum is a fan of The Beatles then you definitely want to take her to Blakes Restaurant for lunch. Housed in the Hard Days Night Hotel and named after Sir Peter Blake, the creator of the famous ‘Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’ album cover, she will be in her element!
