Sometimes, all you want in life is a great big juicy burger. Whether it’s after a long day exploring the city, something to fill you up for the rest of the day or a hangover cure from the night before - you can't really go wrong whatever the occasion.

Liverpool has so many places to head to for a burger of your favourite choosing we thought we would help by picking some of the best places in the city to enjoy one. In the mood for some beef? We’ve got it, chicken? No problem, vegan? You’re covered!

Dig in! ๐Ÿ”

Parr Street’s favourite burger joint, Almost Famous, serves up some of the dirtiest burgers around. Try their classic Famous burger or go for something a bit out there like the River Phoenix (which has bacon frazzels on!) or the This is Liverpool burger that has all the trimmings on top! They even do veggie and vegan burgers, loaded fries and wings - it sounds like heaven!

Byron at Liverpool One is in the perfect location to grab a burger post shopping trip or before your night out. With all the classics including Cheese, BBQ and Chilli burgers you can't really go wrong in this American Diner style restaurant. The Big Smoke is a favourite amongst the locals though! They also have a large selection of chicken burgers and veggie and vegan options too.

Landing on Liverpool’s Wood Street recently to the excitement of many fans, this 100% plant based burger joint created by Youtuber Monami Frost has gone down a storm and their burgers make it easy to see why. Their huge vegan burgers would impress anyone looking for that afternoon snack.

Free State Kitchen is a hidden gem of a burger place and one well worth seeking out. Serving up a contemporary twist on American classics, you’ll find some pretty impressive burgers here. From the classic American Cheeseburger, to Double Deluxe Burgers and a Garden Burger, everyone will find something to indulge in.

Another place to head if you’re on a plant based diet and in the mood for some burger junk food is Down the Hatch on Duke Street. It’s the perfect place to end those long days in the city or for curing a hangover...

Honest Burgers is honestly one of the best places to head for a burger. Having just opened their latest venue on the bustling Bold Street they are serving up their British beef patties and homemade rosemary chips with zero fuss. They even have their own special Liverpool burger in collaboration with local favourites, Hafla Hafla. Halloumi on a burger, need we say more?

Do you know what your last meal on earth would be? Well the folks down at Death Row Diner have you covered. Their burgers are piled high with everything you could want from a classic burger and all served on a brioche bun - it doesn't get much better.

Not only do Brewdog do some of the best, juiciest burgers around, they also serve them with some quality recommended beer and your dogs can join you too! They even have a great veggie and vegan burger menu and on a Monday you can get 2-4-1 veggie and vegan mains.

Hidden down a side street in the Ropewalks area of town, find Pattersons, home to chicken, tunes, cocktails, beers and great burgers. Their famous fried chicken keeps people flocking to their hideaway and it makes for great burgers too. The staff favourite is the ‘Animal Farm’ but we think the whole menu looks great!

Head over to Albert's Schenke on Hanover Street to try their Bavarian inspired Raclette Burger. The 28-day dry aged Cheshire beef, Alpine raclette melting cheese, chicken liver pate, truffle mayo, red onion marmalade, packed into a brioche bun has our mouths watering thinking about it.

Cafe Tabac is a Liverpool institution and a favourite amongst the locals on a trip to Bold Street. Head to the top of the hill for a Tabac classic burger or pick from their mouth watering menu.

Lark Lane’s favourite Meat Factory does exactly what it says on the tin when it comes to their burgers. Their sliders come with some pretty impressive toppings, go classic, go spicy or go halloumi, you can’t go wrong.

Thank God it's Friday! Thank God it's time for Barnyard Burgers!
