You can’t go wrong with a trip to the Baltic Market for Valentine’s Day. The warehouse turned street food market has some of the regions best food stalls serving up all sorts of culinary delights. There’s everything from halloumi fries, stoned baked pizza, vegan junk food and loads more to choose from. Team it with a top cocktail whilst listening to a bit of live music and your date won't forget this day out in a hurry.

Head over to Albert’s Schenke this Valentine’s Day to indulge in their German inspired Valentine’s Day menu. Join in on the celebrations on 14 & 15 February and spoil whoever you’re celebrating with to a three-course set menu for £25pp. There will also be live music, cocktail specials and drinks packages so you can go all out! 


Head over to Malmaison to treat your other half to a romantic three-course meal with a cocktail or a glass of champagne at Chez Mal this Valentines Day. You can even book to stay over for that extra touch too.

The Merchant is the perfect place to take your date over Valentine’s Day weekend. Known for their selection of gin and tonics, enjoy a drink over the candle lit benches whilst listening to the resident DJ and indulging in a slice of pizza from the adjoining Nightcrawler Pizza - sounds perfect to us!

Cocktails are a must on Valentine’s Day, whether it’s with your other half or your heading out with your mates, The Alchemist is the place to go. You don’t just get a cocktail in here, you get a whole theatre experience as your drinks arrive in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Definitely a place to go if you’re looking to impress. 


Head over to this little garden gem on Seel Street to sit underneath the canopy of lights cuddled up around the wood burning fire. Grab a drink from the bar, listen to a bit of live music and enjoy Valentine’s Day under the stars. 


If you’re a fan of gin then there’s no better place to spend the evening than at the Liverpool Gin Distillery. Sample some of their finest local gins, experience their gin lab or go on a tour - gift vouchers also make for the perfect Valentine’s Day gift!  


Sit under the glow of the wall of lava lamps and spend Valentine’s Day at Jimmy’s. Head down into the basement for a gig, sit in the bar for a few drinks or head upstairs for something to eat - the options are endless here. 


For something a little different see if you can find Abditory on Queen Avenue, just off Castle Street - you won't regret it! The underground cocktail bar is a touch of old school glamour with a hint of a private members' club offering classic cocktails alongside toasties. Yes, toasties. From vintage cheddar to cheeseburger, berl-air reuben and cauliflower cheese they make the perfect accompaniment to your Valentine’s Day drinks.

If you really want to impress your date, then take them to Berry & Rye - if you can find it. Seek out the unassuming black door on Berry Street, give it a knock and wait to see if it opens. If you’re lucky enough to get in you’ll enter into a speakeasy world of jazz and cocktails.

This Valentine’s night, treat your loved one to a night at the Philharmonic Hall for a concert full of the greatest theatrical love songs of all time performed by the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. Tickets also include a glass of fizz on arrival to help make your evening extra special. 


There’s nothing like a bit of friendly competition at Ghetto Golf on date night. Head to the neon warehouse to take on the weird and wonderful golf course to see who can be crowned champion. Team it with some cocktails and you’re in for the perfect night. 


Treat your other half to some luxurious Valentine’s themed bath bombs from the biggest Lush store in the world right here in Liverpool! If you want to really treat them then why not book yourselves in for a unique spa treatment in the Lush Spa, perfect for a relaxing day out. 


Join drag queens Sister The Queen and Joy Less for a special screening of Death Becomes Her at FACT on 11 February. It will be a cinematic experience like no other, sit back, laugh and enjoy the film whether you’re celebrating Valentine’s Day with your other half or just heading out with your mates. 


Take a romantic stroll down to the Royal Albert Dock to place your own lock alongside the rest of the Love Locks and take in all that the docks have to offer while you’re at it. It’s the perfect Valentine’s Day selfie spot. 


If you’re a bit more on the adventurous side then why don't you head off on a Hover Force adventure day out? From 10-16 February, Hover Force has a special couples offer which means you get to spend some quality time whizzing around on a hovercraft and harnessing your inner Viking for a bit of Axe throwing for £120!

Have a laugh this Valentine’s Day at the Hot Water Comedy Club. Pull up a seat and enjoy the top talent of the resident and guest comedians, it’s always a laugh over there. 


If the weather is nice, take a romantic stroll around Sefton Park. The 200 acre park has plenty to see including the stunning Victorian Palm House and a boating lake. Grab something to eat on Lark Lane afterwards for the perfect chilled out weekend. 


For something a little different why not spend an afternoon playing a few board games at Sugar and Dice? They have a whole wall filled with pretty much every board game you can think of and the super friendly staff will help you out with any you want to try. There’s also an amazing selection of homemade cakes, coffee, tea and beer to keep you refreshed. 


Take a trip down to Crosby Beach for a walk and to catch the amazing sunset - it doesn’t get more romantic than snuggling up together and watching the sun go down! Whilst you’re there check out Antony Gormly’s ‘Another Place’, you can’t really miss the 100 life-sized, cast-iron figures dotted along the coast line. 


Make a whole day out of St Valentine’s and explore a few of Liverpool’s museums and art galleries. Head to Tate Liverpool on the Royal Albert Dock for some modern and contemporary art, The Walker Art Gallery at St George's Plateau for classic renaissance pieces, The Museum of Liverpool on Pier Head to learn all about Liverpool’s history and culture or FACT on Wood Street for a whole new exhibition experience.
