How do you like to have your pancakes?

Who doesn't love celebrating Shrove Tuesday with a lemon and sugar crêpe or a giant stack of American pancakes? We certainly do! It’s the only night of the year we can get away with having pancakes for dinner and not feel guilty about it so we’re very excited to indulge.

If you want to celebrate Pancake Day but don’t fancy making your own and risk having most of them fall on the floor in the flipping process (but that is half the fun); we have put together a list of some of the best places in Liverpool where you can treat yourself to all the fluffy, syrupy, lemony treats we love to eat.

Pancakes aren't just for Pancake Day so make sure you check out some of these amazing places the next time you’re in the mood for them!

For just three days only, The Club House at Liverpool ONE will be bringing back their mouth-watering hanging pancake kebabs! That's right, hanging pancake kebabs! The mini fluffy pancakes come with either chocolate brownies or strawberries and need to be seen to be believed! Head down from 24-26 February to try them out!

Love Thy Neighbour at Hatton Garden do all your favourite types of pancakes, from the fluffy ones with bacon and maple syrup to the classic blueberry and even vegan pancakes with applesauce! If you're after something a little different they also do chickpea pancakes which will set you up for a day of exploring Liverpool.

Dig in to some of Bold Street Coffee's fluffy American Style pancakes on your next trip up the bustling street! Pick from Maple & Bacon or wild berries washed down with a cup of coffee and breakfast is sorted.

Head down to Moose Coffee on either Dale Street or Hope Street and be amazed by their extensive American style breakfast menu which is served all day. The pancakes are a must though, served three high and topped with a selection of your favourite flavours such as maple syrup, blueberries, bacon or chocolate; we bet you will be back for more!

Lock & Key is one of the best places to go on Duke Street for your pancake fix in a very elegant atmosphere. Serving their brunch menu up until 4pm there is plenty of time to grab a stack of American pancakes after a busy morning hitting the shops.

Potts is a completely planet based coffee shop on Slater Street serving up some amazing vegan fluffy pancakes with a whole load of toppings to pick from. They make for the perfect start to the day exploring Liverpool.

One of Bold Street’s favourite tea shops, LEAF, is another spot we would recommend grabbing a cup of tea and a stack of pancakes whilst out exploring the city. By combining the relaxed setting, huge drinks menu and stacks of classic American pancakes it makes for the perfect place to grab brunch with your friends.

Kaspa’s on Crosshall Street is the place to go if you have a sweet tooth. Their menu consists of only desserts and their huge selection of the traditional crêpes is a must for celebrating Pancake Day. From the classic lemon and sugar crêpe to banoffee, chocolate, strawberry and caramel filled pancakes there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

Head over to Bill’s in Liverpool ONE for a stack of their fluffy buttermilk pancakes topped with all the classics, you can’t go wrong with blueberries or bacon and maple syrup. Choose between a stack of 3 or 5 with your favourite toppings and enjoy a break from all the shopping.

If you’re out and about taking a stroll around Calderstones Park then the Interesting Eating Company is the perfect place to stop off for some pancakes. They offer a range of savoury crêpes and American Style pancakes with loads of toppings so there will be something for everyone. They are even able to make most of their recipes gluten-free!

Brasco Lounge is right on Liverpool’s Waterfront and is the perfect location to enjoy views of The Mersey with a stack of pancakes. Head down for some of their triple-stacked buttermilk pancakes and choose from berry compote, banana and Greek Yoghurt or bacon and maple syrup. For something a little different why not try their Halloumi and Sweetcorn pancakes for a bit of a savoury twist.

Coffee & Fandisha is a speciality coffee shop on Brick Street in the Baltic Triangle and is a great place to stop off for some pancakes whilst exploring Liverpool’s creative quarter. They do the classic American style pancakes we all love so it is the perfect place to grab brunch and a coffee.

Heavenly Desserts is truly heavenly! Serving all the desserts you could ask for under one roof and situated in Liverpool One directly opposite Royal Albert Dock, we couldn't think of a better place to sit and enjoy some crêpes. Choose from a selection of classic flavours or even create your own!

Established in 1974, Cafe Tabac is a Liverpool institution serving up an amazing menu for the last four decades and of course, pancakes are on the menu! Pop into the little cafe at the top of Bold Street for a stack of fluffy buttermilk pancakes with all your favourite toppings!

Castle Street Coffee is the little brother of the well loved Bold Street Coffee and is housed in Santa Maluco on, you guessed it, Castle Street. Head over for coffee and a stack of classic American pancakes of the bacon or berry kind.

However you like to eat your pancakes there are plenty of places to go in Liverpool to celebrate Shrove Tuesday, let us know where you are heading over on our twitter @VisitLiverpool.
