The great thing about Liverpool is whenever you feel like a bit of a caffeine fix there is always somewhere to go.

Liverpool is bursting at the seams with coffee shops, cafes, tea shops and bakeries that serve up all sorts of blends to help start the day or offer up a seat for an afternoon break. 


BOLD STREET COFFEE


Bold Street Coffee is a favourite amongst the locals in Liverpool. Housed on, you guessed it, Bold Street, the independent coffee shop serves some of the best coffee and food around with loads of vegan options to boot. It’s also in the perfect spot to stop at after wandering around the Ropewalks area of the city. 


MOTHER ESPRESSO


Hidden down Wood Street, Mother Espresso is the perfect place to grab a quiet coffee in all the hustle and bustle of the city. They have an extensive coffee range and a breakfast and brunch menu making it a must for your caffeine fix. 


THOUGHTFULLY CAFE


Thoughtfully Cafe on Cleveland Street is home to all your favourite things; simple food, amazing coffee, a collection of magazines and an all-day bar! Chill out in the sun with a coffee and watch the world go by. 


LUCY IN THE SKY


It only seems fitting on your trip to Liverpool to visit a cafe named after a Beatles song. Lucy In the Sky is on Exchange Street East in the Business District and serves up some great coffee alongside a lovely brunch menu for all your caffeine needs. 


LEAF - BOLD STREET VENUE TEMPORARILY CLOSED


If you fancy a bit of a change from coffee and are after a cup of tea, head down to LEAF on Bold Street for the biggest selection of tea you’ll ever come across. Alongside their extensive tea collection they also have a brilliant food menu catering for everyone so it’s a brilliant place to stop off for lunch. They also have a second venue on Smithdown Road too! 


RYDE


Ryde is a quirky bicycle themed cafe in the Cains Brewery in the Baltic Triangle. Combining a passion for great coffee, food and cycling, Ryde has become a favourite amongst the Liverpool cycling community and fans of great coffee! 


ROCOCO


Make sure you’re looking up to spot this one! Housed above the shops on Lord Street is Rococo, an independent art deco inspired coffee shop that serves up all your favourite coffee, breakfast, lunch and sweet treats! A great place to sit by the window and watch the world go by. 


CAFE LUCAYA


Cafe Lucaya on Water Street is a beautiful hidden gem of a coffee shop, a stone’s throw away from the Royal Liver Building. Head inside for your favourite coffee, a cult of tea, hot chocolate or a bit of lunch.

PEABERRY COFFEE HOUSE


Housed on The Royal Albert Dock, Peaberry Coffee serve up coffee of the ‘Peaberry’ variety straight from Brazil. They also have a mouth watering food menu covering breakfast, lunch and dinner so you can visit any time of day.

LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR - TEMPORARILY CLOSED


Love Thy Neighbour is a Hatton Garden favourite and a super relaxing place to grab a coffee. Refresh yourself with your usual order try something different like a Beetroot Latte or Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate! They even do loads of healthy smoothies and the odd cocktail too...


MOOSE COFFEE


With two locations in the city, Moose Coffee is the place to go for your breakfast needs - and a cup of coffee. Head down to Dale Street or Hope Street to grab a morning pick me up alongside a stack of their famous American style pancakes, waffles or their own twist on eggs benedict - you can't really go wrong. 


ROOT


You couldn't get a more central coffee shop than Root Coffee. Tucked away just off Hanover Street, Root is the perfect place to stop for a cup of coffee whilst exploring the city. With their knowledgeable baristas brewing beans from all over the world, this coffee shop is definitely one for those of you who know their stuff. 


92 DEGREES COFFEE


92 Degrees Coffee have a few locations around the city but their venue in The Baltic Triangle boasts its own inhouse roastery to bring you the freshest coffee around. Pop into one of their venues at either Jamaica Street, Hope Street or Myrtle street for a warm drink and a slice of cake. 


COFFEE & FANDISHA


Coffee & Fandisha is a speciality coffee shop and luncheonette on Brick Street in the Baltic Triangle. The idea behind the coffee shop stems from the traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony where freshly brewed coffee is served alongside popcorn and other bits and pieces. You can't miss it with the stunning artwork by Paul Curtis over the door!


THE BRUNCH CLUB


The Brunch Club on Duke Street is a jungle themed brunch and coffee spot that will always brighten up your day. Serving brunch and coffee all day and then bringing out the cocktails in the evening; whatever time you visit it will definitely be worth it.

CROSBY COFFEE


At just a stone's throw from Crosby Beach, the award winning Crosby Coffee has become a go-to destination for coffee lovers in the area. After a long walk on the beach head down to their shop for a cup of their own hand roasted and brewed coffee. You can even buy a bag to take with you!


FAB4 CAFE


Open eight days a week, this Beatles themed cafe at the Beatles Story on the Royal Albert Dock is a must for any Beatles fan visiting the city. Head down for a cup of coffee and lunch in the beatles basement whilst listening to all your favourite tracks. It also makes for a great end to the tour if you are doing that too!


LOVELOCKS


Lovelocks coffee shop is on Old Haymarket and serves freshly brewed coffee 6 days a week. Using 100% Arabica beans roasted in Merseyside and a menu of fresh and locally sourced meals it’s a lovely little shop to rest your legs in the afternoon.

PIPPINS CORNER


If you’re out and about around Liverpool’s Lark Lane or Sefton Park, head over to Pippins Corner for a cup of coffee and lunch. Serving everything from your favourite coffees to breakfast and lunch it’s a cute little spot to stop off at on your trip.

SPACE COFFEE


Space Coffee on Aigburth Road serves up drinks like you’ve never seen before. They do all your favourite coffees alongside dreamy hot chocolates covered in loads of toppings. Make sure you check out their unicorn hot chocolate when you’re there!


CAT CAFE


Liverpool’s Cat Cafe is definitely one for the cat lovers out there. Spend the afternoon enjoying a cup of coffee whilst playing with the cutest cats around as they sit on your lap, chill next to you on the sofa or play on the floor. Cats have been proven to help with all aspects of our health too so it’s the perfect way to relax and destress!


CAFE TABAC - TEMPORARILY CLOSED


Cafe Tabac is a Liverpool institution and is known by the locals as the little cafe at the top of the hill. A hub for all the creative locals, not only is the coffee and food amazing but the company is also pretty good too. 


PETIT CAFÉ DU COIN - TEMPORARILY CLOSED


This French cafe bar is on the corner of Berry Street and a brilliant place to chill and hang out with friends over a coffee. They also specialise in wine and cocktails which you can enjoy with your favourite cheeses. 


THE BAGELRY


The Bagelry offers up all your favourite flavours of bagels, including those cool rainbow ones, and serves some brilliant coffee to wash it all down with too. Head over to grab your bagels to go and enjoy a walk around the city with a coffee.
