If the Great British Bake Off has inspired you to start baking but you don’t know your génoise from your profiterole then we have you covered.

Instead of reaching for the mixing bowls and covering your kitchen with flour head to one of these amazing bakeries in Liverpool for your bake off fix and support a local independent at the same time.

We have bakeries specialising in bread, pies, cakes, pastries and all the baked goods you could ask for so you never have to worry about the dreaded soggy bottom ever again.

For the ultimate coffee and cake experience head over to Cuthberts Bakehouse on Mount Pleasant. The quaint little bakery has beautiful homemade cakes and baked goods that will have you returning for more. If you fancy going all out then you can book in for one of their impressive afternoon teas too.

Rough Handmade on the Royal Albert Dock are a boutique bakery that make every pastry, cake and loaf by hand. Embracing the imperfect side of baking, (hence the name), the team behind the bakery craft all their recipes from a range of cultural influences. With bread, croissants, pastries and tea and coffee on hand, your walk round The Royal Albert Dock won't get much better.
