As all non-essential retail, attractions and restaurants will have to close from 5th November for the second national lockdown, we will be unable to visit our favourite places until 2nd December.

Until then, we can still support our local businesses by shopping with them online! Whether you want to treat yourself, are looking to keep shopping local or are starting your Christmas shopping, have a look at some of these local businesses below to keep supporing during lockdown.

For more information on visiting Liverpool please see our Frequently Asked Questions

We will regularly be updating this blog with more businesses that have online shops.

Merseymade is a unique venue in Liverpool that allows local artists and creatives to sell their work in store. Alongside all the handmade crafts, they are also home to a cafe and studios where you can visit the artists in residence to see them work. Over lockdown you can still purchase their incredible selection of arts and crafts on their online store. It’s the perfect place to stock up on some Christmas gifts. Visit their online store here.

The Nest at the Royal Albert Dock have just set up their own online shop so you can keep buying their incredible Liverpool themed gifts and arts and crafts. Have a look at their website here.

The Christmas tree(s) are up!! Well folks, it's been a tough few days/weeks here for Liverpool businesses. The latest government Covid measures in Liverpool have seen restaurants (barely) operating at tiny fraction of their capability and custom around retail and other sectors such as tourism and hospitality also massively impacted. We are absolutely included in that. We know that there are even more measures to be announced this week and I can only hope that the Government offer the support that is so badly needed or we will see so many of our incredible, viable, iconic, independent businesses go under. In lieu of a functioning test, track and trace system, it seems as though our limbo will continue without an end in sight. They absolutely must act to save jobs in the short and longer term. Our whole culture, our city's identity- It feels like it is all on the line right now. I can't control any of that. I can't control the course of my business or those of the people who I treasure so deeply. But I can put the Christmas decorations up. I hope they bring you all some cheer. Take care of each other.
