Accessibility Information for the National Lottery's Big Eurovision Welcome and Turquoise Carpet event
The National Lottery’s Big Eurovision Welcome’ - a spectacular live show, outside St George’s Hall in the heart of Liverpool taking place on the 07th May 2023.
Please note that the Opening Ceremony will be televised and will contain loud music, flashing lights, strobe lighting and other special effects.
Accessible facilities provided
- Wheelchair platform provided within the event site with ramped access. Please note that spaces on the platform will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. Each wheelchair space will have a space for an accompanying person
- Accessible / Gender-neutral toilet facilities within the event site
- Designated Drop-off point located on London Road
- BSL Interpreters for the entirety of the opening ceremony
Entry process
Dedicated wide lanes will be in place on the London Road entrance gate and the viewing platform is in close proximity to that entrance. However, please note that all entry points will be able to facilitate entrance for wheelchair users.
There are various entry points to the Opening Ceremony
- Gate A - London Road
- Gate B - Skelhorne Street
- Gate C - St George's Place
Please note that Gate A is the closest gate to the wheelchair platform - but all entrances have wide lines for wheelchair access.
Accessibility volunteers will be on hand to assist with any queries you may have.
Gates will open from 17:30hrs and it is envisaged that the quietest time for entry into the event site is at this time.
