What is the Eurovision Village?
The Village is – to put it mildly – the place to be if you want to start your Eurovision experience early. Across nine days, beginning on Friday 5 May, the Eurovision Village will play host to over 100 acts – from pop royalty to future starts, community groups to children’s favourites. Each day has its own unique theme and we’re confident we’re going to tick everyone’s entertainment box.
Oh, and did we mention it’s free?
Where is the Eurovision Village?
Where else could we host such an iconic event than at our equally iconic Pier Head. We’ve taken over the space at the front of The Three Graces and the entrance point is on Water Street (that’s the road in between the Liver Building and the Cunard Building). It’s the one entrance for everyone – including guest with accessibility requirements. The postcode is L3 1HT or what three words baking.nests.moves.
Do I need a ticket?
Nope. The only ticketed event at the Eurovision Village is on grand final day, Saturday 13 May. Tickets for this sold like hot cakes so if you’ve not got yours, we’re afraid it’s too late.
All other days are non-ticketed – so just turn up
Will I definitely get in?
We hope so but we can’t promise. When the Village is full it will be a ‘one in, one out’ arrangement, so think about getting there early to avoid disappointment. You can also come and go from the Village as you choose (except for on Saturday 13) – but we cannot guarantee your re-entry if we reach capacity while you’re away!
Can I bring the kids?
Absolutely! There are no age restrictions other than on Saturday 13 May, when it’s 18+ only.
We’re family friendly and can’t wait to see youngster join in the Eurovision fun. Just two caveats though – anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult (aged 18 or over) and it’s compulsory that you treat children to an ice cream on their day out.
Prams are also allowed into the village.
What should I wear?
Aside from glitter you mean? You’ve probably guessed but the Eurovision Village is outdoors and, although we’ve asked the Eurovision weather gods to be kind, it’s not beyond the realms to get four seasons in one day down at the Pier Head. In short, dress warmly, be ready for rain and pack some sun cream.
Can I buy food and drink onsite?
Yes, there’s a whole range of local vendors ready to serve up delicious meals, snacks and beverages – and yes this includes alcohol!
Here’s an important detail though – all vendors will be card-only. No cash will be accepted anywhere at the Eurovision Village.
Are there things you can’t bring into the Village?
As you can imagine, for everyone’s safety and security, as you can enjoy the event to the max, we’ve got a fairly big list of prohibited items. As a heads-up the list includes food and drink (inc alcohol), umbrellas, bikes/scooters, flagpoles, fold-up chairs and animals (with the exception of certified assistance dogs). Please double check the list before you set off as we don’t want to have to confiscate items from you which you value.
You also cannot bring a bag larger than A4 in size into the village.

How long have you got? Each day has a different theme and line-up. All the details can be found on the VisitLiverpool website and stage timings will be published the day before each show, but here’s a quick run through for anyone wanting a snap shot of what to expect:

Will there be somewhere for me to sit down?
This is a standing event with limited natural seating around the Pier Head. What we’d say is please don’t bank on getting a seat. You aren’t permitted to bring in your own chair either. There will be seating available on the viewing platform for those with access requirements though (available on a first-come-first-served basis)
Will there be accessible toilets?
Yes, there will be accessible toilets, as well as a mobile accessible toilet and changing place for those requiring use of a hoist and/or changing bed when using the bathroom. The mobile accessible unit is being provided by Mobiloo.
How do I get there on public transport?
James Street station is the closest station and is approximately a 5-minute walk away. If arriving at Lime Street Station, the museum is approximately a 20-minute walk. The nearest bus station is at Paradise Street, just across the road from the Royal Albert Dock. National Express coaches stop here. All public transport is subject to change so keep an eye on the social media of our travel operators and don’t get caught out! Travel updates can also be found on the Merseytravel website.
