On Mathew Street you will find the famous The Cavern Club. Head down into the basement of the most famous club in the world to experience what it would have been like in days of the Fab Four. You can enjoy a drink, listen to some live music, take in the exhibitions, go on a tour or visit over the annual International Beatleweek festival to experience it all.

Mathew Street is also home to plenty of other Beatles themed bars including the Cavern Pub, Eric’s, The Grapes, Rubber Soul and Sgt Peppers - wherever you go down here the sound of The Beatles will follow.

If you’re looking for a bit more history on the Beatles then you can visit the Liverpool Beatles Museum. With three floors featuring over 300 rare and authentic items from across their lives and career you’ll be amazed with what you might discover here.

Take a wander down the historic street and you’ll be welcomed by not only the sounds of buskers but by the arms of some of Liverpool’s most famous statues too. Find John Lennon leaning up against the Cavern Pub and Cilla Black opposite Eric’s.

If you fancy staying close to all the Beatles action on your visit to Liverpool then you can rest your head at the Hard Day’s Night Hotel on the corner of Mathew Street. It’s the world’s only Beatles inspired hotel so it’s perfect for a night or two in Liverpool.

A stone's throw away from Mathew Street you will also find Liverpool ONE. A huge outdoor shopping complex full of all your favourite high street brands, Odeon cinema, restaurants, Junkyard Golf Club and Chavasse Park.

In the opposite direction you’ll find Castle Street which is a foodies dream. There’s everything from Indian street food at Mowgli, freshly made pizzas at Rudy’s, beautiful Italian at San Carlo and local gin from the Liverpool Gin Distillery.
